Joanna Bosch

Artist.

Designer.

Curious observer.

A curious mind, a creative practice.

I've always been drawn to the things that make me look twice. An unexpected shape, the way light falls across a room, an object with an interesting story, an idea that leads somewhere unexpected.

After fifteen years working across design, art direction, illustration and visual storytelling, I've come to see creativity as more than a profession. It's a way of looking at the world; of asking questions, making connections and staying open to what you haven't discovered yet.

Waldhaus is a place for that curiosity to take shape.

Making room for what matters

For years, much of my creative work revolved around briefs, projects and bringing other people's ideas to life.
I loved the process of turning an idea into something tangible, but over time
I felt the need to make room for a different kind of creativity.

A period of rethinking what mattered to me led me back to simplicity, to painting and to the small things that had always caught my attention. I began to realise how much I valued the freedom to follow an idea simply because I was curious about it.

I didn't want to choose between being a designer and an artist, or leave behind the many interests that inspire me.
I wanted to bring them together.

Waldhaus grew from that desire: a space for independent work, visual exploration and ideas that don't have to fit into one category.

Welcome to Waldhaus.

Waldhaus is my creative world of art, design, ideas and wonder.

Through publications, original artwork and ongoing explorations, I bring together the things I'm drawn to and share them with people who are curious about the world around them, too.

Some ideas become paintings. Others become publications, creative tools or entirely new projects. The form may change, but the starting point remains the same: a question, an observation or the feeling that there's something worth looking at a little closer.

Waldhaus is an ongoing exploration of what we make, what we notice and what we choose to give our attention to.

There's more to explore.

Art, design, ideas and little things worth wondering about.
